Climate change and sustainability

The climate emergency is one that is now front and foremost for the social housing sector. As event organisers we have been doing all we can to ensure our portfolio is sustainable.

We are working with our supply chain for HOMES UK and Unlock Net Zero Live and would like all attendees to support this, where possible:-

Use recycling bins available around the venue
Bring a refillable water bottle with you - filtered water stations are available at the venue
Bring a refillable coffee cup with you – this can be filled up at the retail catering points when purchasing a drink
Consider all transport options – local transport – car share, tram, bus, walk, cycle, skateboard!

ExCeL has also taken a significant step on its journey to net zero by becoming carbon neutral certified find out more here

We have:-

Reduced all print material and switched to digital signage (an event app replaces the main event guide this year)
Built a sustainable, reusable show, where possible find out more here
Urged exhibitors to not bring any single-use plastic giveaways
Sourced local food for all catering, where possible
Supplied walking maps which can be found here
