Housing managers face greater expectations to keep their knowledge up-to-date and weave the golden thread of purpose across their teams – evidenced by the new requirement for housing qualifications. While this comes at a time of significant resourcing constraints, many registered providers are managing this through placing culture, diversity and social purpose at the heart of their organization.

In this session, you will hear:
  • Sector views on the professionalism agenda – what are the opportunities and how can we ensure it does not adversely affect recruiting and retaining talent?
  • Case studies on how organisations are:
    - investing in new training and upskilling requirements
    - building engaged and diverse teams and a thriving and inclusive culture
  • How can the sector sustain key roles over the next 10-20 years – particularly addressing skill shortages such as building safety or retrofit – and improve the public perception of social housing as a career path?
