Nathan Nagaiah

Nathan founded and led the UK Centre for AI in the Public Sector, directing multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver AI-enabled transformation across homelessness, temporary accommodation and resident services. He led development of DOMUS, an AI-powered solution for temporary accommodation that achieved 89.2% model accuracy; built to improve outcomes for some of the system's most vulnerable residents. He also built community capability directly, designing digital and AI literacy programmes that reached over 3,000 residents and non-technical stakeholders, and launching grassroots inclusion initiatives including Newham Sparks, Newham Data and Data AI Ambassadors.  

He is a member of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government's College of Experts, the World Economic Forum's Centre for AI Excellence and a Board Trustee and Chair of Cyber Programmes of the UK Cyber Security Council, advising on workforce standards, AI models and the ethical deployment of technology.  

Nathan holds elected fellowships with the Royal Economic Society, Institute of Place Making and the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and has had his work published widely. He is currently a Visiting Fellow of AI at the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering at a university in London. Nathan's vision is one where every answer comes quicker, every intervention comes earlier, and every decision is better; with AI working quietly in the background to help colleagues deliver exceptional services.
