Director - Head of Living Sector, and advisor to the Temporary Accommodation Action Group (TAAG), Orms

Miranda has over 20 years of experience designing and delivering specialist housing typologies at a range of scales each tailored to the resident’s needs, including homeless shelters, affordable housing, specialist need housing, student housing, market and mixed-tenure housing, estate regeneration, senior living, and co-living. Via research projects (including research grants and university teaching), Miranda ensures she keeps up to date with the current and future needs of the housing market and its resident’s needs. This wider field of vision encourages critical thinking and debate, leading to practical and innovative solutions to today’s housing crisis.  

She currently chairs the New London Architecture (NLA) housing panel and leads design review panels for Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets. She also serves as a panel member for Hounslow, Harrow, and Somerset and Taunton, and acts as an advisor to the Temporary Accommodation Action Group (TAAG) in Newham. As a RIBA client advisor, she provides strategic guidance on residential projects and judges several prestigious housing awards.
