Improving the homes people already live in is one of the biggest long-term challenges facing the housing sector. Providers must tackle poor energy performance, reduce carbon emissions, respond to overheating and other climate risks, improve health outcomes and ensure that homes remain affordable to heat and maintain. This panel will take a strategic look at the future of the existing housing stock. Are policy, funding and regulation aligned around a clear long-term vision? How should providers balance competing priorities and make investment decisions that will stand the test of time? And what will it take for government, housing providers, energy companies, investors and other partners to deliver change at the scale required?
