Homes is the only dedicated national trade event for repairs, maintenance, retrofit, sustainability and asset management. This event will unite these aspects whilst also encompassing a content led, exhibition with free seminars, highlighting the issues facing us in today’s economy of the social housing industry. The overwhelming consensus is that this sector requires a professional event to move it forward and ensure it is fully represented as new government funding, including the green deal, evolves.
This event will target Procurement Directors/Managers, Heads of Asset Management, Asset Managers, Head of Housing Services, Directors or Managers of Property Investment, Director and Managers of Property Services all decision makers for products and services of repairs, maintenance, retrofit & sustainability in social housing.
Repairs, maintenance and sustainability
Repairs, maintenance and sustainability represent significant revenue/spend in the sector. RM is the single biggest cost in most landlords’ budgets with spends currently estimated at around £10 billion a year which is why when researched with the social housing industry the results were positive about us producing a national event that focuses on this particular subject.
On the Sustainability side, the retrofit challenge faced by the social housing sector is estimated to have the potential to grow into a £12 billion a year market within the next three years. Funding sources and regulatory detail remain a big concern in the sector, but many view the retrofit and green building agendas as both a golden opportunity for suppliers with the right products and skills, and for social landlords to generate substantial new income streams if they can access this funding.
